UCDL Z10
The UCDL Z10 system ( UAVision Counter DataLink ) was designed to detect, track, and neutralize drones. It uses advanced sensors, including radar, radio frequency ( RF ), and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) systems to identify aerial threats, then applies mitigation measures such as electronic jamming, signal disruption, or controlled interception. These systems ensure the protection of critical infrastructure, military assets, and urban areas against the growing risks associated with drones, safeguarding the security and integrity of operations in the airspace.
The system is currently undergoing integration and testing aboard the Portuguese Navy’s surface combat ship, the NRP Dom Francisco de Almeida ( F334 ). The system’s operational versatility extends across a wide range of scenarios. It is compatible with naval platforms ( as previously mentioned ), all classes of armored combat vehicles, fortified structures, towers, UGVs ( unmanned ground vehicles ), USVs ( unmanned surface vehicles ), and a broad variety of other tactical assets.
